History
The original business was founded by sign writer Matt 
Nicholson in 1975.
For nearly 20 years Matt Nicholson had hand painted lettering and graphics onto commercial vehicles, trailers and signs. This amount of experienced gained in this particular specialised trade, as one of only a handful of sign writers, has in turn earned him respect from small and large companies all over Hull, Yorkshire and the North of England.
The early 90's saw the start of technology as we know it today and saw the introduction of new vinyl materials to the trade. Due to extreme demand and constant change in advertising.
These changes meant that vehicles and signs could be lettered a lot quicker,cheaper and had the added bonus of being easy to remove when it came to selling the vehicle or property. This unfortunately has almost brought and end to the fine art of sign writing, almost indefinitely.
In 1995 his son Shaun Nicholson finished college and was employed to help with new technology and make the transition from paint to vinyl. After 28 years of being a sole trade business Matt Nicholson and Son Signwriting felt that it was time to become a Limited Company to bring them into the 21st Century and rival the bigger companies in Hull and surrounding areas. In 2003, MATT Vinyl Graphics Limited was born.
Again due to the constant change in technology and demand for digital prints, MATT Vinyl Graphics made another move forward in 2004 and invested in digital printing machinery and have recently employed more staff to meet the demands of clients. Now there is almost nothing the company can not produce!
